"Look for your own. Do not do what someone else could do as well as you. Do not say, do not write what someone else could say, could write as well as you. Care for nothing in yourself but what you feel exists nowhere else. And, out of yourself create, impatiently or patiently, the most irreplaceable of beings."

Who's Afraid of Nick Griffin?
So who’s afraid of Nick Griffin and the BNP then? Well, it looks like the Socialist Workers Party, Unite Against Fascism, Morning Star, etc are - very, very, afraid. We communists, however, are not afraid. Indeed, so confident is the CPGB as to the power, correctness and popularity of its politics and programme, we would readily accept an invitation from the ‘impartial’ BBC to appear on Question time - even with likes of Nick Griffin there - in order to advocate democracy and socialism and expose the capitalist system in general and the British state in particular. Bring it on!

SWP to Split?
Is the SWP on the verge of a civil war - with the clique around John Rees about to call itself 'The Left Faction'?

Anti-fascism and the Left
This week I take-on both the putrescent English Defence League rabble AND the wretched 'popular frontism' of groups like the Socialist Workers Party, Unite Against Fascism, etc.

Defend The Bees!
Thanks to modern, intensive, capitalist, agricultural practices bees are now dying in their millions and billions. Get angry - defend the bees!

Capitalism, by its very nature, despoils and pollutes nature - all part of the job description. As Karl Marx - the first 'eco-warrior' - pointed out quite some time ago. For a great book on this subject, check out:

Defend Free Speech - Defend Dave Osler!
Quite unbelievably, the Marxist blogger Dave Osler (aka 'Dave's Part') is involved in a Libel Case over a comment made on his blog. Obviously, the implications for political blogging - and for free speech in general in the UK - are quite considerable. And alarming.
Thankfully, Dave is receiving a lot of support - even from the British rightwing-libertarian/Tory end of the blogosphere spectrum, to quote: "Speaking on behalf of the political blogosphere, may I say that while you're clearly a terminally deluded lefty imbecile, you're our terminally deluded lefty imbecile". It almost warms your heart.

Writing on the Wall for Brown?
Here is my latest article for the Communist Party of Great Britain's "Weekly Worker" - concerning Gordon Brown's performance at this week's Labour Party conference in Brighton, and his general election fortunes:
